How To Help

These bracelets are designed to further awareness of Down syndrome.  Down syndrome is also referred to as Trisomy 21 because there are three copies of chromosome #21 instead of the typical two.  In this bracelet, the 21st chromosome is represented by the 21 mother-of-pearl beads, and the three copies of this chromosome are signified by the pink, blue and green Swarovski crystals.

The heart charm symbolizes LOVE - a love as unique and powerful as each individual with Down syndrome, and one that  reminds us that all people deserve compassion, love, and an opportunity to show their abilities. 

Each bracelet is hand made by Sue Dame Mueller or her daughter Amy DeGuire and costs $25.00.  All proceeds from the sale of the bracelets will be used to educate our communities and implement programs for individuals with Down syndrome and their families via the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis.
