Teaching Play Skills to Children with Autism NEW!!

Play has been linked to the development of communication and language skills, cognition, and social and emotional skills and interactions. Children with autism spectrum disorders often experience significant delays in the development of appropriate play skills. Both parents and teachers can be instrumental in supporting the development of play. This training will provide an overview of the development of play skills and the purpose/importance of teaching play skills to children with autism spectrum disorders, and examples of play instruction across the developmental continuum.
