World Down Syndrome Day

March 21 is recognized internationally as World Down Sydrome Day. The day represents the uniqueness of
Down syndrome in the triplication, trisomy of the 21st chromosome, 3/21. Down syndrome is a genetic condition that causes delays in physical and intellectual development. It occurs in approximately 1 in every 691 live births, making it the most frequently occuring chromosomal disorder.

Genes Day

For the fourth year, the DSAGSL is eager to raise awareness for Down syndrome in honor of World Down Syndrome Day at your school or place of employment by helping you host a Genes Day.
